They are the pioneers of thrash metal in Bangladesh. The band Poizon Green was formed back in December, 1998. Drummer Mollik, vocals Tanvyr and guitarist Shifa, three old friends, living at the same area in Dhaka, got together at Mollik's place one evening and came up with a decision to form a Power/Speed/Thrash metal band which will represent hatred, aggression, death and social circumstances in their music. They started writing songs mainly about their personal struggles, life, drugs, rock etc. Members of the band were hugely inspired and influenced by the legendary local band Rockstrata including other western bands such as Slayer, Sepultura, Pantera, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Machinehead, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel etc. The band started practicing at Mollik's house with some poor quality sound equipments that used to bug the neighborhoods a bit. It was one of the very first to come out from the Underground Scene. The band has gained popularity over the years with their newage alternative rock compositions. Black is mainly an alternative band who sings in Bengali, the language of Bangladesh. The band formed in 1998 with four members - John, Tony, Asif, Spondon. Later the band line-up changed as Miraz and Tahsan joined the band in 2000 and Spondon and Asif left the band. Their first song was released in an underground mixed album "Charpotro", their first solo album Amar Prithibi was released in 2002 which is still a big hit. Their second album Utshober Por got released in 2003. Both albums were released from the label G-Series. Though their released music now defines them, and that has been a plethora of styles present in them from nu metal to emo like alternative, they had before that time performed in a lot of underground metal concerts covering the likes of Pantera. Arbovirus: The band was formed in 2002 by Suharto, Ranjan, Ishtiaque and Ahsan who all were friends for a long time. In 2003 January they did their first show. After performing in some gigs with guest bassist, Jishan joined the band as a bassist. Ishtiaque and Ahsan left the band for personal reasons so the band was inactive for some time. Shuvo and Tanim joined the band in the middle of 2003. The band recorded their first song for the album Agantuk-2 and got an album deal just after the album had been released. After that they released 2 singles in mixed albums Lokayoto and Din Bodol. They released their debut album on July 20, 2006 named 64m 53s consisting of 12 tracks. They released 3 more singles in Live Now (by Ershad), Boka Manushta (bya Sumon of Aurthohin), and Bonno (by Fuad). Their latest single Jaalo aagun jaalo is about to be released in a new mixed album coordinated by Tipu of Warfaze. The band is honored to be one of the proud members of BAMBA.
